Charlotte, NC, January 2014 - Combi USA, Inc. has decided that an individual component of the Coccoro, Zeus Turn, and Zeus 360 does not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 213, Child Restraint Systems.

Consumers are encouraged to continue use of the Coccoro, Zeus Turn and Zeus 360 child restraints while awaiting the remedy kit described below.

The webbing used on the harness of the affected child restraints has an embedded plastic button that keeps the buckle tongues from sliding into the recesses of the restraint. The webbing with the embedded plastic button does not meet the minimum breaking strength in accordance with Federal Motor Vehicle Standard No. 213. The embedded plastic button affects the overall strength of the seat belt assembly, and in turn could potentially affect the overall performance of the child restraint to keep your child adequately secured in the event of a crash.

The affected child restraints should not be returned to the Combi retailer. Combi will provide a free remedy kit and detailed instructions to all owners beginning on or before February 6, 2014. To verify product registration and order a remedy kit online visit www.CombiUSA/Safety-Notifications/Recall-Information.aspx or call recall services at 1-844-697-1690. Consumers may continue use of the Coccoro, Zeus Turn and Zeus 360 child restraints while awaiting the remedy kit.
