Toys“R”Us opened its first stores in Austria in 1992 with five locations in cities, including Vienna, Linz, Graz and Innsbruck. The first Toys“R”Us stores in Switzerland opened in 1993, with locations in Zurich and Lausanne, among others.

Shoppers visiting “R”Us stores in Austria and Switzerland will discover toys and baby products from well-known European brands such as Carrera, as well as global toy manufacturers like Mattel and Hasbro. Toys“R”Us stores in these countries celebrate “Children’s Day” annually on June 1, inviting kids and parents to attend in-store events with competitions and gaming activities related to popular products.

Toys“R”Us established e-commerce operations for its businesses in Austria and Switzerland at Toysrus.at and Toysrus.ch in 2010 and 2011, respectively. It also sells juvenile products through Babiesrus.at and Babiesrus.ch
