Benefits Overview    

At Toys“R”Us, Inc. we believe in providing our employees with benefits well beyond a paycheck. In addition to competitive pay, the employee benefits program offers one of the best total compensation packages available in retail. Medical, dental and vision insurance coverage are all included, as well as a 401(k) with a generous company match program and a wide range of other benefits.

Insurance Coverage

The “R”Us® family is committed to providing affordable health and welfare benefits that meet our employees’ individual needs, as well as those of their dependents. Eligible employees have several insurance plans to choose from that include comprehensive medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage. Additionally, employees have the opportunity to participate in Flexible Spending Accounts for out-of-pocket healthcare or dependent care expenses.

Furthermore, basic life and basic AD&D insurance coverage equal to 100 percent of target cash compensation and company-paid LTD coverage is available for eligible employees, as well as business travel insurance. Supplemental Life, Supplemental AD&D, Spouse and Child Life and Long-Term Care insurance coverage are also available at affordable rates.

Vacation, Sick Time and Personal Days

Toys“R”Us, Inc. believes one of the keys to maintaining a productive employee base is to offer a competitive paid time off program based on length of service and hours worked. The Corporate Headquarters observes six holidays and closes early on select days preceding a major holiday. Due to the nature of our business, some departments may be required to provide coverage during holidays. In these circumstances, time off is typically given in lieu of the holiday. In addition, eligible employees can receive up to four personal days per year.

Saving for Your Future

Eligible employees may participate in the company’s 401(k) plan, which provides a generous match contribution of $1 for $1 on up to 4 percent of earnings, with immediate vesting available. A 529 College Savings Plan is also available to help save for future college expenses with ease and convenience.

Toys“R”Us, Inc. continuously supports organizations that keep children safe and help them in times of need. While children are at the heart of our business, we realize that our employees also support causes and organizations on a broader level. Due to our commitment to philanthropy, the company will match contributions made by eligible employees to nonprofit organizations that meet certain criteria.

Each day, our employees work hard to meet the needs of the children and families our company serves. Toys“R”Us, Inc. strives to ensure that its employees have access to the appropriate resources when they need them the most. The “R”Us family offers employees and their families professional and confidential counseling and referral services for work and other issues, legal matters, financial issues, addiction and recovery problems, reliable resources for seniors and childcare and any stress-related issues that require assistance. The company also provides financial support to assist employees adopting a child.
